A bite of an isnect rarely ends fatally, soothes Dr Põlluveer. If a bite has previously had a harsh consequence, it would be wise to contact the family doctor for medicine and always carry it with you.

When a person does not loose consciousness in a few minutes after the bite and is able to keep contact, there is no need turn to the Department of Emergency Medicine.
